Leave the motorway (A 13) to Chur at the Reichenau Flims exit.
Via Flims-Laax to Ilanz, branch off into Vals Valley.
In the summer there is also the picturesque route (pass road) that leads over the Oberalp Pass. You also take the turn off in Ilanz then.

Directions when travelling by public transport:

The Vals-Ilanz postal bus service (PTT) runs down into the valley. Rhaetian Railways offer regular connections there: to Chur, a main traffic axis, to Disentis with connections via the Oberalp Pass into Central Switzerland or Valais.
