Ski Area

The ski areas in Vals comprise 5 facilities and include about a dozen different slopes of varying degrees of difficulty. Snowboarders appreciate the diversity the mountain landscape Dachberg has to offer as excellent freeride terrain. Carving skiers come into their own on the wide, expansive slopes.

At an altitude of just under 3,000 m there is always plenty of snow; farther down, slope conditions are controlled with snow cannons.

Dachberg is an unhurried ski resort with personal charm, and yet it is still popular among the snowboarders and carvers. Vals is a remote valley, so you won’t have to wait in lines on the Dachberg, and there is no “rush hour” on the slopes.

The younger crowd loves the snowboard park, and parents are grateful for the kid’s terrain and the excellent child care services provided by the ski school.

What visitors appreciate most is the personal contact to the locals. Families feel comfortable here, probably in part due to our attractive prices.

Here is what our ski area has to offer in the way of food and drink:

Dachberghütte: cozy ski cabin that serves hot coffee and snacks

Gadastatt mountain restaurant: full range of meals, plenty of space

Ganni Leis: stop in on your way down to the valley, cozy and rustic flair

Flee-Bar: après ski at the valley station

If you stray from hiking paths and slopes during the winter, keep in mind that the wild animals need peace and quiet. For this reason some zones (undisturbed wildlife habitat) are restricted or completely off-limits during the winter.
